Become an ISSIP Ambassador
ISSIP is the professional association for people committed to advancing service innovation. We established our ‘Ambassador Program,’ to provide a channel for ISSIP members involved in other organizations or peer entities to effectively liaise and collaborate on behalf of ISSIP with those groups.
Today, we enjoy the contributions of more than 100 ISSIP Ambassadors co-creating value with peer professional organizations, conferences that center service innovation, government, national or community entities, journals, initiatives and research institutions and foundations. We are volunteer led and managed, limited only by ISSIP community participants’ vision for mutual benefit and time to invest to make it happen.
What do ISSIP Ambassadors do?
- Propose ISSIP sponsored workshops, panels, Student or General ‘Best Paper’ awards in the top service-related sessions or conferences of the professional association that they represent.
- Ensure that ISSIP community members are aware of and have an opportunity to contribute to the other professional associations’ conferences, publications, and other service-related activities.
- Help ISSIP individuals develop as T-shaped service innovation professionals, with both depth in their ‘home’ professional skills and capabilities and breadth across other disciplines.
- Earn digital credentials for contributions in the field of service innovation, for knowledge sharing eminence, or contributions to innovation excellence.
Meet ISSIP Ambassadors Lead: Dr. Christine Ouyang
In 2022, ISSIP appointed Dr. Christine Ouyang to lead Ambassador relationship development for the organization. Christine continues as ISSIP Ambassador to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), to which she was appointed in 2021.
A Distinguished Engineer and Master Inventor at IBM, Dr. Ouyang coordinates ambassador efforts and resources to support the development of mutual benefit to ISSIP and partner entity members.
“Dr. Ouyang’s experience as a Master Inventor is perfect for this new ISSIP role. She will frame and support continued growth across the powerful network of relationships ISSIP has with its partner organizations. I’m looking forward to the synergies throughout our growing global community,” said 2022 ISSIP President Terri Griffith.
