Roland Padilla is an experienced Information Systems (IS) professional who had worked for global organisations representing systems integration (SI), information technology (IT) consulting, and business process outsourcing (BPO). Demonstrated success and proven ability in leading people and managing numerous functions consisting data networking, solutions architecture, resource management, service operations, project management, and IT service management.
These senior leadership and management functions from multi-national corporations provided an opportunity to engage in diverse vertical segments, comprising telecom, semicon, automotive, banking, government, and utilities. Additionally, Roland has demonstrated global experiences, having undertaken projects, collaborations, and skills trainings in several countries.
He earned his master’s degree in IS, and obtained a First-Class Honours (H1) or High Distinction (HD) equivalent. Currently, Roland is undertaking a PhD — exploring how to measure the value of service in business-to-business cloud computing. As a Convenor of the cloud computing group at the Australian Computer Society (ACS), he is keen to collaborate with both academics and IS practitioners who are passionate about cloud computing and service systems.
