Time Commitment: ~ 1 hr/quarter
Consistent with ISSIP Bylaws, and Policies, ISSIP is calling for nominations for ISSIP Ambassador.
ISSIP Ambassadors help connect ISSIP to other professional associations and research centers. ISSIP Ambassadors can propose ISSIP sponsored workshops, panels, Student Best Paper awards in the top service-related sessions or conferences of the professional association that they represent. ISSIP Ambassadors also ensure that ISSIP members are aware of and have an opportunity to contribute to the other professional associations’ conferences, publications, and other service-related activities. ISSIP Ambassadors help members develop as T-shaped service innovation professionals, with depth in their home professional association and breadth across sister professional associations.
Qualifications for this position include active participation in another professional association with a Service SIG, or a research center focused on service innovation. This position is highly visible, reporting to the ISSIP President, with exposure to broader ISSIP institutional and academic members.
Responsibilities include:
- Suggest nominees for the ISSIP Excellence In Service Innovation Award
- Suggest candidates for the ISSIP Vice President/President roles
- Showcase activities on the quarterly ISSIP Board of Directors calls
- Suggest to ISSIP Executive Committee opportunities to co-sponsor workshops, best student paper awards, etc.
- Be interviewed for the ISSIP monthly Newsletter.
- Speak at an ISSIP workshop – in person or virtual events.
- Spread the word about ISSIP as you speak at conferences and events, or on social media.
- Helping recruit new ISSIP members.
This is a great volunteer opportunity for contributing to the advancement of service innovation globally while getting exceptional career advancing exposure to top-tier industry and academic leaders and researchers.
