SUMMARY:ISSIP Ambassador Panel - Sustainability of Service Systems
DESCRIPTION:An ISSIP Ambassador Panel to explore Sustainability of Service Systems\, and Continue Pre-Discovery Summit Dialog Around “Technology for Good” \nThis ISSIP Ambassador Panel will explore the Sustainability of Service Systems. \nAfter the moderator\, Jim Spohrer\, ISSIP Board Director and co-founder\, provides a brief introduction to the topic of sustainable service systems\, each panelist will present a five minute position statement with just 2-3 slides regarding their views on key concepts and examples to help clarify what is a broad and challenging area of study and practice for service innovation professionals. \nThe UN Sustainable Development Goals are one possible jumping off point that the moderator will introduce. For example\, for environmental sustainability\, the shift to a circular economy\, decarbonized energy\, may be discussed; for institutional sustainability\, fighting misinformation\, and an educated citizenry (including lifelong learning and continuous upskilling) may be discussed; for business sustainability\, innovations such as servitization of businesses and supply chain robustness may be discussed. \nAll these and more issues\, challenges\, concepts\, and practices have been advanced as important to increase the sustainability of service systems. Panelists will also be asked their views on Tech for Good as it relates to the sustainability of service systems. \nThe short (30 minute) online event will be recorded and available to the ISSIP community via ISSIP YouTube and ISSIP Slideshare\, to build on last year’s ISSIP Ambassador interviews as a way for the ISSIP Community to continue to learn about ISSIP Ambassador’s innovation priorities. \nTotal Time: 30 minutes: \nModerator Introduction (4 min): Jim Spohrer \nPanelist 1 Position Statement (3 min): Marialuisa Saviano (U Salerno\, Italy) \nPanelist 2 Position Statement (3min): Paul Maglio (U California Merced\, USA) \nPanelist 3 Position Statement (3min): Mohamed Zaki (U Cambridge\, UK) \nDiscussion and Q&A (15 min) \nClosing Short Final 1-Minute Comment from Panelists and Moderator \nEVENT REGISTRATION
