Andrea Biancini to Lead ISSIP Credentialing & Curriculum Design

Newly created role to support ISSIP efforts to embed service science principles into learning systems worldwide

ISSIP is pleased to announce that Andrea Biancini, Head of Education Programs with 28 Digital based in Milan, Italy, will serve as ISSIP Lead for Credentialing and Curriculum Design starting in 2026. Below is a recap of the purpose of this new position and requirements as Andrea has scoped it for the coming year. We look forward to supporting this exciting new initiative throughout the ISSIP global community!

Purpose

As Head of Education for 28 Digital (formerly EIT Digital based in Brussels, Belgium), Andrea Biancini shapes and promotes service innovation in education through global collaboration, credentialing initiatives, and curriculum design. Starting in 2026, he will lead similar initiatives as ISSIP’s Lead for Credentialing and Curriculum Design, a newly created service role which aims to advance ISSIP’s impact by embedding service science principles into learning systems in Europe and beyond.

Key Responsibilities (approx. 1–4 hrs/month volunteer)

  • Strategic Alignment – Contribute to the vision and structure of ISSIP’s curriculum and certification program, supporting alignment with global digital education efforts.
  • Content Curation & Packaging – Identify, refine, and help distribute existing ISSIP content—such as the AI Collab–developed onboarding course or the “Intro to Service Science” course—so it can be easily reused and co-branded for impact.
  • Collaborative Partnerships – Represent ISSIP in collaborations with 28 Digital and other partners; explore opportunities for joint credentialing or digital learning initiatives with international institutions.
  • Thought Leadership – Publish brief insights, articles, or talks reflecting current trends in global service innovation, with a focus on multilateral learning systems, interoperability, and inclusive digital policy.
