ISSIP / SMRT.BIO Challenge Launches in South Africa

Empowering the Next Generation of Service Innovators at CUT

ISSIP and SMRT.BIO are proud to announce the launch of the ISSIP/SMRT.BIO Innovation Challenge in collaboration with the Central University of Technology (CUT), South Africa.

This challenge invites students to reimagine service delivery in today’s digital world by designing a breakthrough Business Model Canvas (BMC). The competition is open from August 1 to September 30, 2025, and the winning team will receive a prize of ZAR 10,000.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital service design. The initiative follows SMRT.BIO’s recent recognition as the overall winner of the 2025 ISSIP Service Innovation Award honours its impact on business, society, and innovation.
