Call for Volunteer
Lead Author – Workshop on AI Biases (From humans to algorithm to data,  biases in AI) – HICSS 52
Nomination Deadline:  Dec 15, 2018
Duration: Jan 2019 to May 2019 (submission to a journal), through publication cycle

Consistent with ISSIP Bylaws, and Policies, ISSIP AI Biases HICSS 52 Workshop Programming Committee is calling for nominations for a lead author who would pull together the content of the workshop into a multi-author paper. The 2015 HICSS workshop resulted in this  article: http://bit.ly/2OHMmyK

All members of ISSIP and HICSS registrants are invited to participate in this process.  Qualifications for this position include, primarily, a demonstrated interest in the intersection of service innovation, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and future of work, excellent written skills, and a moderate amount of project management. In this role, the lead author will work with ISSIP senior leaders from IBM, Cisco, and distinguished academics and innovation thought leaders from all over the globe who will participate/speak at the workshop, to assemble the content, and organize the reviewing and editing of the paper.

Responsibilities include:

• Scribing during the workshop (we will also work to have a recording)
• Gathering content from each author
• Assemble, and edit content into a paper
• Add her/his own point of view
• Organize the review process and gather feedback
• Working with ISSIP leadership to submit to an appropriate journal(s)

This is a great volunteer opportunity to demonstrate thought leadership while contributing to the advancement of service innovation globally and getting exceptional career advancing exposure to top-tier industry and academic leaders and researchers.

Please submit nominations by Dec 15, 2018.  Nominating statements should consist of a summary of the nominee’s qualifications and experience.  Self-nominations are welcome. Materials should be sent to volunteer@issip.org with the subject title “ Lead Author, AI Bias workshop.”
