Call for Nominations (or self-nomination)
Chair of Membership Committee, ISSIP

Duration: 2 year
Time Commitment: ~ 2 hrs/week

Consistent with ISSIP Bylaws, and Policies, ISSIP Nominations Committee is calling for nomination  for the next Chair of ISSIP Membership Committee.

All members of ISSIP are invited to participate in this process.  Qualifications for this position includes, primarily, a demonstrated interest in community building  plus moderate amount of project management.    This position is highly visible with exposure to ISSIP leadership and the ISSIP members, which include senior executives from IBM, Cisco, HP, Tata Consulting, Dell, plus esteemed academics and innovative entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with ISSIP Exec Director to understand the current composition of ISSIP Membership base of more than 450  professionals, academicians, researcher, and students.
• Working with SIG Chairs, Chapter Leaders, ISSIP Ambassadors to put a process in place that ensures all potential members  become actual members of ISSIP .
• Provide weekly updated list  of registered  new members to Executive Director  or the Operations Committee
• Provide a quarterly update of membership stats to the BOD Members on ISSIP quarterly BOD calls
• Help grow the ISSIP membership base
