Prashant Tyagi leads the Data Lake Organization at GE Digital in San Ramon, CA. He is responsible for enabling the big data strategy for the Industrial Internet that leverages IT and Operational data for predictive analytics. At GE he works with all the P&L verticals (like Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Aviation, Healthcare etc.) to enable their IoT and big data use cases. The platform also enables data science for the company by enabling data scientists to create and publish their analytical models for predictive maintenance, remote monitoring and diagnostics that lead to significant revenue generation for the company.
Prior to GE, he was with Cisco where he was leading the Organization focused on delivering platform solutions for Cisco’s smart services and smart analytics initiatives that generated over $ 500M in revenues for the company by enabling key network deployment and performance management applications on an analytics platform. Before joining Cisco he was co-founder of a startup company focused on delivering intelligent drug discovery data platforms for the Biotech and Pharma Industry. Prashant enjoys playing as well as coaching soccer teams.
Prashant holds a B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He also holds a Masters in Computer Science from Clemson University. He has presented at several conferences some of which are mentioned here:
