Consistent with ISSIP Bylaws, and Policies, the ISSIP Search Committee is conducting a search for the next Chief Web Designer.     All members of ISSIP are invited to participate in this process.   ISSIP is looking for a creative and passionate web designer to help improve the design of isssip.org and maintain the site.  This role will require ~ 3-4 hours a week, and will be responsible for pushing a bold, cutting edge look and feel in our website.  Other responsibilities include:

  • Designing new pages, interfaces, and delivering cutting-edge fit and finish across the website.
  • Co-creating intuitive, reliable and beautiful designs.
  • Monitoring  and promoting emerging trends in interactive technologies, content, design, web 2.0  analytics, and marketing tactics

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A strong sense of UX and visual design, with an eye for simple-to-use interfaces.

  • Ability to work within constraints, while maintaining consistency throughout designs.

  • Experience with design software like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks.

  • Experience with rapid prototyping with the ability to quickly go from mockups to implementation.

  • Expert knowledge of web design standards.

  • Experience with WordPress.

  • Experience with Google Drive and Apps a plus
  • Experience with mobile design, HTML5 and CSS is a plus.
